Training services

All of our training programmes have been developed in collaboration with our training partners, Pera Training, and are delivered by highly experienced practitioners from Pera, supported by NISW staff.  Our courses are constantly evolving in order to allow us to introduce the latest approaches and use relevant case studies combined with interactive exercises and discussion. Each programme is designed to develop delegates' ability to encourage, create and deliver productive innovation and change for their organisation. They provide well-proven, practical tools and techniques that are combined with "back at home"  projects and follow-up to deliver tangible and sustainable benefits for participants.

We offer a full portfolio of courses ranging from facilitated 'Space to Innovate' sessions for individual departments or organisations to full 1 -3 day Innovation Masterclasses and short-courses. These courses are aimed at individuals or teams who will be playing an active role in championing innovation and who will be engaging with colleagues to drive innovation policy and practices or developing new care pathways and methodologies.

NISW and Pera Training work closely together to ensure that our courses and facilitated workshops meet clients' needs and objectives and also provide ongoing support to secure the impact and sustained benefits from attendance on the course for candidates and their organisations.

Core course content is drawn from the very successful NVQ Level 5, CMI accredited, "Diploma in Innovation & Change Management" that has been achieved by nearly 50 Trust Innovation Leads from around the South-West, many of whom have gone on to senior roles or to work in national NHS organisations.   The range of courses we offer are all fully accredited and can lead to progression from an Award to Certifcate and/or full Diploma and will qualify for CPD points.

Full details of our two flagship programmes, the Diploma and Innovation Skills "blended learning" courses can be found in accompanying pages on this site.
